Elon Musk has just announced that Tesla has sold 146,000 Cybertrucks:
Based on the product mix Elon cited, and assuming a 50% FSD mix, Tesla generated just under $9 billion in revenue based on these orders. Tesla generated $25 billion over the last 12 months.
Of course these are just pre-orders that required a $100 deposit. We don’t know how many people will actually end up buying the truck. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tesla generate more than half a million orders before the first truck ships.
UPDATE: The order count now stands at 187,000 putting anticipated revenue solidly above $11 billion.
UPDATE 2: The order count just hit 200,000
OMG!!!!!!! I think this gives @tesla 10% market share in the first 5 days —- bonkers!!!! #cybertruck https://t.co/vPklSLhamx— [email protected] (@Jason) November 23, 2019
